# Changing the name or color of a tag

### In your list of tags (bottom left of your project dashboard), hover over the tag you wish to edit and click the drop-down arrow.

### Click Edit&#xD;

You can then follow the steps shown in the [Creating a new tag](https://docs.overleaf.com/managing-projects-and-files/organizing-projects-with-tags/..#creating-a-new-tag) section to change the name and/or color of your tag.\
