Canceling your subscription
For information on what happens to your Overleaf account when you cancel or leave a subscription, please see our FAQ's.
Canceling an individual subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time via the subscription management page. Your subscription will remain active until the next billing date, at which point your subscription will end and you won't be charged further. If you do this before the end of the seven-day trial period, you won't be charged anything, but the trial will remain active for the full period.
You can cancel your subscription's auto-renewal in your user settings. To do this:
From your project dashboard, click on the Account icon in the lower left, then on Subscription.
Click on Stop Your Subscription.
Leaving a group subscription
You can leave most group subscriptions at any time from the subscription management page. This takes your account out of the group and places it on the free plan.
Users whose accounts are managed by their subscription administrator may not take their account out of the group. If you need to leave a managed group, please reach out to the lead administrator of your group.
Leaving an Overleaf Commons subscription
Your participation in an Overleaf Commons subscription is linked to your institutional affiliation, which is based on your recognized institutional email address. If you remove or do not reconfirm your institutional email address, your account will be removed from the Commons subscription. You can remove your institutional email address on the account settings page.
